MEMBERSHIP TERMS

General conditions for membership at Atleta Training and Health. Last updated: 05.01.2022.

1.  GENERAL CONTRACT PROVISIONS

Membership is valid from the registration date and for 12 paying months, unless otherwise stated. After the end of the binding period, the membership switches to an ongoing contractual relationship, if the member does not terminate the agreement themselves. See point 5 on termination.

2. FREEZE OF MEMBERSHIP
A contract without full flexibility can be frozen for the following reasons:

•  disease which is documented by a medical certificate and which means that you cannot exercise.

•  pregnancy which means that you cannot or do not want to exercise.

•  secondment in work or studies that is documented.

There is no freeze or exemption from payment in the event of a holiday. Freezing of membership must be determined and approved before the freezing period starts, and the documentation must accompany the freezing application. Freeze must be applied for by the 1st of the month in question. Freeze of the contract period applies for a minimum of 1 month and a maximum of 5 months. The binding period is shifted by the same number of months as the exemption is granted, so that the duration of the membership is a minimum of 12 paying months. Payment may differ from the freezing period, but amounts to the same number of months. Freezing is not approved until written confirmation is received by e-mail. Freeze cannot be undone. In the event of termination during the freezing period, the contract's termination month/period does not expire.

3. CONDITIONS FOR TRAINING AGREEMENT

Upon registration, payment is made for the remainder of the current month and the following month. The member pays a training fee regardless of the amount of training. The price stated in a membership agreement with a 12-month commitment applies to the entire commitment period. After this, price adjustments can occur with 30 days' notice. For student membership, a student certificate must be presented after 1 year. If the customer does not show their student ID, the monthly amount will automatically go to full price.

4. ABOUT AGREEMENT GIRO

AvtaleGiro is a fixed payment assignment that the member's bank carries out on behalf of the member himself. The AvtaleGiro authorization to the bank can be revoked by the member at any time. If authorization to AvtaleGiro is revoked before the notice period has expired and before the last payment has been made in accordance with the membership agreement, the center will be able to collect outstanding amounts for the remaining contract period. It is the member's responsibility to ensure that the direct debit is active. It is not possible to change the payment method during the binding period. All memberships that are sold by direct debit, if this is broken, the member will receive an invoice with an invoice fee.  If the member does not have coverage on the account, the center will send reminders via our collection partner CollEctio. Invoicing fees and reminder fees will then apply.

5. TERMINATION OF THE MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT

The notice period is one (1) month, calculated from the first turn of the month after the date the notice is received by the centre, by e-mail sent to post@atleta.no. If the contract is to end after the binding period of 12 months, the termination must take place before or within the end of the 11th month. All termination is done via e-mail, and the member must receive information within 14 days that the termination has been registered and when the last payment and training date will be. If the above information is not received within 14 days of the notice being given, the member must contact Atleta themselves. The membership can be terminated before the binding period is over if the member cannot train at the center for documented reasons. Applications for termination of membership during the contract period must be sent to post@atleta.no, and the reason for termination must be documented.

6. KEY CARD

The membership card/key card is personal and cannot be handed over or transferred to others. Lost or damaged cards are replaced for a fee of NOK 100. Your own key card must be swiped in the card reader at the entrance. This applies regardless of whether the door is open or not, or whether you come together with other members who draw their card. The member must not let others in after opening the front door with their personal key card. If misuse of personal magnetic cards is revealed, Atleta reserves the right to terminate the membership agreement with the member.

7. BREACH OF THE CENTER'S RULES

Atleta reserves the right to terminate the membership agreement with the member if the member commits a significant breach of the centre's internal guidelines:

• in the event of theft or vandalism at the centre

• age limit not met

• unpaid membership fee for 3 months or more

• if your health condition could be damaged by Atleta's offer

• in one way or another acts against Atleta's interests and purposes

9. PERSONAL INFORMATION

The member agrees that Atleta may collect and register information about the member in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act to the extent necessary for the implementation of the membership agreement. 10. CHANGE OF MEMBERSHIP TERMS

Atleta can change the membership conditions. Such changes are announced through notices on the center and the centre's website www.atleta.no.  The member is bound by the changed membership conditions if the member does not cancel the membership within 14 days after the new membership conditions have been announced. Such termination only applies to significant changes.

11. PRICE ADJUSTMENTS

Atleta Fitness and Health has the right to adjust the price of its offers. This will be announced on the center and the centre's website; www.atleta.no.

12. GENERAL

We reserve the right to change opening hours, especially at Christmas/Easter and summer holidays. Reservations are also made for shorter closing times of the center for maintenance.

The number of group lessons, times and instructors change from season to season. Atleta reserves the right to cancel or end group lessons that appear in the timetable.

13. DOPING

We want a clean, healthy and health-promoting training environment at our training centre. We absolutely do not tolerate any use of doping agents among our customers. As a member of Atleta, you distance yourself from the use of doping agents and are aware that the use of doping agents constitutes a significant breach of the membership agreement, which gives Atleta the right to terminate the agreement with immediate effect. By signing this agreement, the member undertakes not to use doping agents that appear on a special doping list for training centres. The member must be aware that the list can be found at all times at www.rentsenter.no.
